HAPPY BIRTHDAY
Chris turned 32 on Friday and we spent the day as a family. (zoo, lunch, swimming…) His younger brother, Matt, also has a birthday in June. My sister-in-law and I decided to celebrate together this year as to avoid putting one more thing on our calendars. On Sunday, we had 30+ family and friends at our home. Corn hole, water slides, playground, basketball, swimming (thanks to Ryan and Kim), hot tub, good food and conversation filled our day.
Kylie was a little timid at first, but learned to like it if she didn't have to climb the stairs.
Luke braving the slide. (He spent most of the day changing his clothes.)
Jake opted to "bounce" down instead of sliding.
Gracie's Turn!
Waiting our turn. Easier said than done...
Katie Bug and MamawLennis
Corn hole tournament. Shawn and John were the disputable champs.
Ryan (my brother) and his girlfriend, Amanda, stuck around to well into the evening. We really enjoyed this rare treat. Luke has a big crush on Amanda and when he wasn't changing clothes he was following her.
Chris and I first met each other while at Franklin College. We didn't start dating until after we graduate in 1999. We were married two years later in July of 2001. Chris currently works at J.P.Morgan Chase as a Financial Investor. I will be starting my 9th year of teaching at Northwood Elementary.
Jacob Scott
Jacob Scott was born February 5, 2003. He is incredibly sweet and kind hearted. He is very witty with words and always has us saying "Where did he come up with that?" He is also the family trickster. He is in first grade this year. He loves to be outdoors. He plays soccer, baseball and football.
Lucas Andrew
Lucas Andrew joined our family on June 10, 2005. Luke has the most amazing smile and a very contagious laugh. He is very strong willed and independent. He loves pretending he is a super hero and would spend all day in his PJ's if you would let him.
